How to Completely Makeover Your Image in 5 Easy Steps

If you're like me, you sometimes get tired of looking at the same old face in the mirror. Not that your face is ugly or unappealing, it's just perhaps you want a change of facial scenery. And this is easily done without knives and needles. Matter of fact, you probably have all the ingredients you need to completely change the way you look lounging around your bathroom.

Step 1 : Re-arch your eyebrows

Your eyebrows are like the doorway to your face. This doorway can be sharply angled, or smoothly arched like Roman bridges. To change the entrance of your face, arch your eyebrows the opposite way your normally would. For example, if your have married the Lucile Ball curved brow look, go with a more square look as your would find with Meredith Vieira.
Next, to accentuate the change in the way your eyebrows look, adjust their thickness. If you typically keep your eyebrows racer thin, pencil in them in a little thicker. Alternately, if you keep an eyebrow puff going, trim back the brow a little.

Step 2 : Re-do your hair

The look of your hair comprises at least 20% of your silhouette. But to make a real change in how your hair looks, your have to do something completely out of character for yourself. Let's say you keep your hair straight as a pool stick normally. To completely transform your look, wash your hair with curl enhancing shampoo and set your hair in curlers to add obscene body to your coif.
Then again, if you're a regular Sherly Temple, bring some governance to your hair with a smoothing shampoo, and a flat hair iron.

Step 3 : Re-package your clothes

Like your hair, clothes command a great deal of attention, plus they comprise a fair 70% of your total image. If you really want to throw the world a monkey wrench in terms of who you are, wear the complete opposite of your normal attire. For example, if you are business suit type, wear Hawaiian beach attire. It your normally wear a jogging suite and flip flops, slip on some close fitting, but complimentary clothes coupled with sleek high heels, or flats. Whatever you do, choose clothes that are out of your comfort zone.

Step 4 : Re-discover your scent

The next way to alter your image will not appear obvious to everyone else who sees you, but it will to you. Keep this connection in mind: If you smell differently, you feel differently, you act differently and then you will look differently. The only reason people put on cologne or perfume is so that they can "feel" different or perhaps even "better".
So, try on a different fragrance and simultaneously try on a different feeling and new look. For instance, if you're in you late forties now, try on a fragrance that you used to wear as a teenager. Then let yourself experience the feelings that the old scent brings to mind. Or, if your don't even use a fragrance, go to a department store and sniff around until your find a fragrance that makes you feel different in a positive way and buy it, then use it.

Step 5 : Bring it all together

Now once you've done all of the four steps listed above, grace the new person looking back at you in the mirror. And now, prepare yourself for the most important final step. While looking to yourself straight in the eye, whisper, "I am a new and improved person, with a new and improved image." Congratulations on your new look.
